3rd gen B20 has iron liners. B21 has FRM.

Some oils do burn off faster than others. In my experience Mobil 1 burns off faster than most synthetic oils.

Smoking from under the hood or from the exhaust? Clean the engine completely then keep a very close eye on it for the next few days to find leaks. If it's from the exhaust its most likely either your valve stem seals or your rings. Do a leakdown test to determine which. If you suspect the PCV valve then just change it and go from there, they're cheap enough that it won't hurt if it's not the problem.
