Potentially buying a prelude.. let the n00b questions ensue.
Hey everyone, new guy here.
I've been looking for a 4th gen H22 prelude for a few weeks now; I've finally found one without a quarter-million miles or thats been completely destroyed by a teenager. It's a 94 5-speed with a JDM H22A swap with 70k miles.
Along with the cracked handles as I've come to see are pretty common with the 4th gens, the seller says it needs a subframe adjustment? He explained that he got an alignment recently, and was informed that the subframe needs adjusting.
Is this a pretty big red flag? Or could it be an easy fix? I'm getting it for a pretty good deal (IMO) $2,500. Am I looking at a big repair potentially?

Is it the sub-frame cross member or the rear sub-frame support brace that the rack and pinion and rear engine mount sit on? Here are some pics of what I am talking about ask the seller if it is one of these that needs replacing:

I would ask for detailed pictures of the damage.
Ask for a vin so you can run a carfax.
Ask him why the subframe needs to be adjusted and exactly how.
Either it was in an accident or his mechanic is trying to screw him.

I second this completely.... just be careful and take your time purchasing this car if you do go through with it.
