Why don't you just port the one cylinder?

Re: is it possible to replace a damaged sleeve ?
how exactly do you port a cylinder?
OP are the AEBS sleeves one a one piece unit or are they separate? If they are one piece, I don't think you would be able to do what you are wanting to do. Sorry I never had a sleeved block dude. Good luck though. |
Re: is it possible to replace a damaged sleeve ?
The Darton / AEBS setup is a wet-sleeve system, where individual or multiple cyl sleeves can be replaced, without having to re-do the entire sleeving process all over again. So yes, you can buy an individual sleeve and replace. Contact your machine shop that did your install and inquire.

Re: is it possible to replace a damaged sleeve ?
individual sleeves can be replaced. most reputable local shops can do it if aebs will sell the sleeve separate.

Re: is it possible to replace a damaged sleeve ?
how bad is the scoring? depending on the cost of the pistons you used, it might be better to get a larger bore piston set and just bore out the sleeves. the costs involved are:
labor removing the old sleeve labor installing the new sleeve (usually ~200$) the cost of the sleeve cost of the replacement piston vs. new piston set boring out all the sleeves |
