oil pressure right??? maybe air in the lines???
i got the motor rebuilt about 10 months ago and then 3 days after drove it 3000 miles across country. runs great..no problems.
I didnt hook any gauges that where mechanical because i didnt want any leaks on the trip. so yesterdays i hooked up the mechanical oil pressure gauge to a sandwich plate on the oil filter
started the car up ran at 60 psi or so let it warm up and dropped to about 20 psi. SWEET!!
took it for a drive (cold) and it spiked to 100psi a few times. once warmed up it was all good. my question is... you think there was some air in the lines for it to spike to 100psi?? it never been that high before the rebuild??
2001 h22a4 Turbo
pistons/rods ect
stock oil pump!!

Re: (DrivinVtec)
There's nothing H22 specific about the question. There are only a handful of people in this forum who could reliably answer it. A lot of them don't post regularly.
This is a general engine (and potential turbo related) related question, the FI forum is dedicated to engine tech, a plethora of resource there.
