Re: All Time Fastest Preludes NA/Turbo Ladder
Nah his fastest time was when he only made like 650. Once he made more power there were just never ending issues with the setup of the car. It is for sale as a torn apart shell and parts last I knew, but Steve Jr was still driving a white 4th gen as a DD.
There are a couple of other nasty Preludes in Colorado, and by the time mine is where I want it, I will probably be down there again.

Re: All Time Fastest Preludes NA/Turbo Ladder
I like the 15 second 1/4 out of the f22, gives me some hope for the future setup thats milling around in my head. After the 5th gen is done I want to start a low budget non vtec build for a 3rd gen or dc2, have the harness, computer, trans, bottom end and intake stuff sitting around, just need a head and car to start stripping. Thinking about a f22 head on my h23 block with JDM pistons and modified h23 mani.
As for the 5th gen my best time was 15.9 here in Indy (800 ish feet.) on the tired old engine that only put down 133 hp on Suja1s dynodynamics. Dont have the sheets off hand but I was consistent in the 16.2-15.9 range on a couple different nights. Launching was my weakness, no matter what rpm I used/ method I chirped and bogged from too much traction (ie. Not enough power.) Dont know where the new motor will put me, too many variables. More stroke and compression, less rpms and h23 gearing. Full intake and exhaust, either Gude regrinds or typeS cams. Im hoping for 200-220 hp on the same dyno with this setup, similar intake on usdm h22, s2 tuner 1 cams, and lesser exhaust netted 197hp last month at suja.
Thanks to all of you for keeping my mental gears turning and helping me spend my money with all this info.

Re: All Time Fastest Preludes NA/Turbo Ladder
lol laid down a record! haha it's sad man there's not enough people dragging ludes that's my main reasoning behind my build one it's rare enough to see a lude on the track (though my local track is roger's local track lol) and the fact i'ma do it with the base model motor. Everyone wants to be the fastest i suppose, i just wanna have fun and do something different.

Re: ::The Official Prelude 1/4 mile thread::
Wow, drop your tire pressure and work on that launch. You should be able to get the 60' time down to like a 2.2-2.3 on street tires, which would bring you down in the low 14 range.

Re: ::The Official Prelude 1/4 mile thread::
I know. I wasn't thinking. The track is about 150 miles from my house so I still had it there from the drive down. Next time I'll Dec lower the pressure and I'll be practicing my launches to. Thanks for the input.

Re: All Time Fastest Preludes NA/Turbo Ladder
Do we want to include times of guys who aren't on this site? Last weekend at Bandimere in Denver, Steve Sampier went 10.42 @ 152.99 in his 4th gen turbo car.
I am halfway through my rebuild, hopefully be done this weekend and swap engines within the next week. should be enough time to break it in and tune before Spokane IFO.

Re: All Time Fastest Preludes NA/Turbo Ladder
how are the h22 trannies holding up under these runs? im just curious because a ton of people say they dont hold up for long over the 300 range.

Re: All Time Fastest Preludes NA/Turbo Ladder
Well I don't think it moves me up the list at all, but last night I ran a 12.93 at 108.21 mph.
After driving 200 miles to the track, and drove back home afterwards as well, long night!
