Re: The Official Honda Prelude Header Thread H22A F20B (cpforyou)
The red is with my Prospeed header a while back, the hp was 236 and tq was 169lb/ft.
Now with Greddy header + 2 1/2" collector mod, reworked oem intake manifold, and Hondata tuning.

Re: (.cooper.)
i love my anr header, lol
when i first installed it on a fresh h22 from hmotors(great motor!) it ran rather weak, no low end power, no mid ranger and eh top end, the stock header was great compared to this header, i lost hope in anr and felt as if i wasted money.
so one day code 9 pops up my dizzy is fine, could be 1 thing, the timing is off,
i get around to do the timing, which ended up being like 2 teeth off. my hopes go up a lil bit but i wasn't expecting to be impressed.
i take it out and OMG noo traction at allllllllllllll first gear spun almost all of 2nd and never got to third cause i was already up a strected road of 3 blocks, when i had the stock header it didn't really spin in first and kinda spun in 2nd, but now its a fkin animal and this is with the lsd trans and the downpipe being dneted in to a half circle |), no tuning, and street collector i havn't tried any other big names, but for the money an-r is great!
diff style from the other ones, but i was told its the same performance

Re: The Official Honda Prelude Header Thread H22A F20B (blacklude98)
i heard somewhere that prelude stock headers are actually better than the DC Sports ones, or at least that there not much of any considerable gain to a DC sports header...is that true?

It all depends on your combination of parts. I doubt it would get 20WHP on a stock motor. However, if you had for example, Type S pistons, and Skunk2 cams, and then you went to dyno the difference between stock and a good aftermarket header, I would say 20WHP can be realistic.
I made 208WHP on the dyno with my mildy built engine and DC Sports Header. I added only a Euro R manifold, port-matched throttle body, and a HyTech header and it went up to 233WHP. That's a 25WHP gain.

No personal experience, but it's almost true. You make little or no horsepower that it's a waste of money unless it's the version with the 2.5" collector.

Re: The Official Honda Prelude Header Thread H22A F20B (cpforyou)
what are the advantages of getting a one piece header like the love fab or whatever it's called. I have the 2000 lude stock. Is there a difference between the lovefab and the dc header

Re: The Official Honda Prelude Header Thread H22A F20B (Jmumblez2001)
Anybody ever ran the Spoon upper? Curious to see #'s and hear thoughts if anybody's ever run it... I know if won't compare to the likes of a fully custom header like Hytech, SMSP, DTR, etc, but wondering if it's a viable alternative for a mid-range header.
