would it be fine to use regular nuts with the nylon or whatever it is or do I need to go to honda and get what came on it?

You don't have to, but it's best to get the same self locking nuts that came with it. I reused the ones I already had cause they were in good condition

well... I had to chisel one off because i was rounded over and a few started to round as well.. the nylon nuts i found on mcmaster say they are good up to 250 degrees F. is that good enough?

Well, your header reaches temps around 700 degrees, so I wouldn't think that'd be enough

nylon locking nuts aren't going to work.

if you look on mcmaster long enough, you'll find something worthwhile, but it's probably easier to get the parts from the dealer.
