no clutch pedal pressure/pedal sink to floor all of the sudden
my friend have a 98 honda prelude SH. the other day, she was driving and suddenly the pedal sink to the floor and she suddenly lost pressure. change slave cylinder and rebleed it, but still have problem. pedal just sink to the floor and won't come back up. could this be that the clutchmaster cylinder went out or clutch went out on her? can a clutch went out cause this problem? anyone have a suggestion, please help. thank you

my case was different
turned out to be a bad hose (got loost after 13 years)
replaced the hose, fill the res. with fluid and tried to bleed it by holding the pedal down and releasing bleed valve
did not work
had to do the submerge hose into bottle while bleeder valve open trick
it worked

Don't just start replacing parts. Try to verify which part is defective first.
My first question is, did you notice the clutch fluid to be low before you replaced the slave cylinder? Did you inspect it after you replaced the slave and noticed it sink again?
First narrow down what could be defective, THEN start replacing parts. The clutch master cylinder isn't a fun job either. Make sure you are sure it is bad before you replace it IMO.

Need to reread the thread. He said his friend was driving and the clutch suddenly sunk to the floor, so, that means either the master or slave cyclinder went out. Either way, you should change both out now instead of having to bleed the system over again later..Yes, if you don't bleed it right, your clutch won't work.

thank guys, i told her to check if there fluid leaking near her master cylinder behind her peedle. also check if the slave cylinder is giving a full motion back and forth when she push the clutch pedal. but yeh i told her it definitely got to be the master cylinder because she replace the slave cylinder already and bleed it correctly. thank you for all the advice guys, ill keep you guy updated

ok solve her problem, the clutch fluid hardline was leaking, so it keep losing pressure. we replace it and it work fine now. hope this help other people who have this problem.
