Default H22a4 valve springs

Does anyone know what good valve springs to run on an h22a4 with skunk2 pro1 or pro2 cams? People have said to go with skunk2 pro series springs but I haven' seen any that were made for the h22.

skunk 2 does make valve and retainers, go to realstreetperformance and go to the shop by engine and go to h22 there you can build your head, block, and anything else you want. very good site. supertech are good over all. if you dont agree with the prices than at least you have seen options and can search around for those things but ultimately i think they have good prices.

You can use b serie skunk pro valve Springs but you just need to use spring base kit with them

Depends on what your trying to do, but skunk2 camshafts and cams do work with everything else ferrea.

I was really just going to go with the skunk 2 pro1 cams along with the intake manifold and throttle body and boost it on stock block. Nothing really too crazy.

you can go with skunk 2 valve set, really anything name brand like that will hold up to 8.5-9k rpms, high power, and be good for boost or all motor build if your not going to crazy dont really need it. id say upwards of 350-400hp than go a head and go through the head but if your not going to go past 8k rpms and not going to see more than roughly 350 hp than save some money. ive been pushing 10psi on stock everything, injectors, block, map sensor, everything. on my own tune and i havent had any issues for over 2 years now and ive raced a lot and drove it hard. just treat it right and dont be to crazy. getting ready to do a full build though.

just as tic55 said. Sounds like your all set. If anything just hit up the guys over at real street performance and they'll set you up with a list of stuff with the build you want to go with. Really nice guys and always happy to help.

yeah I was wanting to rev past 8k haha. But Hey if anything like that can hold 8-9k then I'll do my research and see what I can find. Thanks for the input.

atleast with NA H22 theres no point of revving past 8k with stock pistons & aftermarket cams - theres no gains - you have to upgrade everything to get gains past stock red line

I was going to go ahead and build the head and have it really break in the top end then boost it so I wasn really going to go NA with it in the first place. I've been looking into cams and valve springs just dunno which ones I'd like to go with yet. I'll actually email real street and see their recommendations

I just figured the pro 1 cams and skunk valve springs would be good cause someone told me that they made 232hp NA and 367hp boosted in 6lbs with stock block. Sorta figured it' be a good set up haha.

you cannot get everything out from pro1's if you have stock compression (since theyre designed to work with higher than stock compression) and you need to upgrade everything else to get those numbers (IM, full head work, custom exhaust etc)

sorta figured. I planned on all of that really but now that I think about it it might be a good idea to get some cams that will support the turbo better. I emailed real street and their guy is recommending Brian grower stage 2 turbo cams and the BC valve springs. Any one have any luck with that set up? I'e heard nothing but good things about BC really just sorta curious.
