NEED AC delete belt - 6 rib.

I got a belt from work and it was listed in the computer as "without AC" under the H22. I just got the belt off and luckily before I got it OUT I discovered the smaller belt. What belt do I need?

Bump. I spilled power steering fluid on the belts. I just dribbled a wee little bit of soap on the belts and pulleys to clear it up before I started the motor. All is well it even stopped the squeal.....but I still want the belt without AC.

Someone may pop in with the info but it could be found by searching but best thing would to just measure it with some string and head up to the auto parts store and have them try to find you one that works.

I believe it's a 36? or 37? I forgot. I had to use a measuring tape to get the exact measurements because I do believe I bought an F22 without AC and it was too small for my H23. I ended up re-using the H23 non-ac belt with my new h22a swap. AC is going back in though, WAY too hot here in GA during the summer.

What most of us just did is wrap a string around the pulleys and then cut it to the exact length we needed. Then measure it up, run to the parts store and tell them you need a belt that length in however many ribs you need. Nothing hard broski.

@Thissucksturtle......its spelled Initiative. I work til 6 and come home to my 8 yr old daughter, I'm a single dad. Its already dark and cold by then. Yes Florida gets cold. You come measure it for me while I cook dinner for her.

Graphite, JS and Allen. Thanks for the actual info. I work at NAPA so it should be easily obtainable, just needed the measurements.

Re: NEED AC delete belt - 6 rib.

You just need to figure out what digit in the part number refers to the amount of ribs for the particular belt manufacturer, then you just change the digit from a 5 to a 6 and you've got your belt.

Example:

Dayco 5 rib belt for a 92 Prelude, F22a1, no A/C Part#5050370

In this case the 3rd digit is the amount of ribs, and the last 3 digits refer to the length of the belt. Since the length will be the same all you need to change is the 3rd digit.

The belt that you would want (Dayco) is 5060370

HAhahahah...sorry. Being from Wisconsin it always tickles me to go to Florida during the winter months and see the FREEZE advisories on the news when the temperature gets to 40 degrees F. Mass hysteria. Priceless. :)

40 degrees in December/January here in Wisconsin means it's time to dig out the shorts & t-shirts.

A/C Delete Belt Size!

Noticed that no one really gives a set size for a belt. Recently just did mine and I'm running a Duralast (part 375k5 from AutoZone) which is stated to be 37.6in (inner diameter). I do have the stock Alternator and completely removed the compressor along with the bracket. In theory, you can run a belt size of 36in but I would say get a 37in one just to be safe (biggest you can run is a 38.000000in!). Makes it so much easier to tighten if you are doing the job by yourself. Also allows you to have lots of play in case yours doesn't want to cooperate. One other part you may want to look into is the alternator relocating bracket. Usually are $60-$80 but makes the engine bay look so much cleaner! Just know you also don't need a 6 rib! I've been running a 5 rib for the longest time and haven't had any issues whatsoever.
