Manual Transmission Grinding When Changing Gears

Hi, the manual transmission in my 1994 Honda prelude has started to grind when changing gears (4 to 5th). I believe it is a syncro problem or something. However, I don't think the transmission fluid on my tranny with 50,000 on has ever been change (not sure). How do I change it and what fluid do you recommend? Should the new fluid help? Thank you for your help.

Yeah, most likely new fuid will help....when mine gets low it will grind a bit and become harder to get in gear. It's as simple as undoing the drain bolt to drain the fluid and refill it through the fill hole, which is just another bolt higher up from the drain.

Make sure to use honda MTF.

Why only Honda MTF?
