Re: Lost compression in cyl # 3
I was running 16 pounds of booste on the dyno and all of a sudden smoke started to flow every where so we did a leakdown test and cyl. # 3 was the lowest. i was wondering if i change out the piston rings would the problem be fixed or would i have to hone out my sleeve.

Re: Lost compression in cyl # 3
Is the engine built forged piston ? sleeved ?

Re: Lost compression in cyl # 3
If this is on a stock block and internals, chances are you blew out the ringlands. However the same happened on my block before further investigation I got Mahle gold-series pistons and eagle rods. pulled the head to find out it was the headgasket. Atleast I didn't need to hone the block.
