looping powersteering lines (yes i have searched)
 

ive searched quite a few times on how to do this with the usage of a resovoir to help it breathe and have no pressure.

what i didnt realize (until i got down to it lol) is that there are 3 lines: 1. big one from the pump to the rack, 2. a smaller one that goes from the resovoir to the rack, and 3. the one that goes from the vss past the resovoir, to the cooler (if i didnt get part of that right, let me know lol. my car isnt hear so i cant just go out and look)

so i loop lines 1 and 2 correct? assuming yes, what do i do with the 3rd one? plug it?

and would it be ok if, for a the "breather"/resovoir if i just put a hose on a T-fitting and pointed it up? lol meaning, is there really a need for a resovoir type thing to be on the end of that hose or can i just leave it open? if i need a resovoir on top then ill just use the stock one and plug the 3rd hole, but if i dont need one then i wont waste time putting on on https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif

the one that goes to the vss can just be capped off...loop from 1 to 2 and you will be ok....

can someone post pics please? and this is suppose to make powersteering smoother?

no, this makes no power steering less shitty....

what do you want to know about the reservoir....put it about where the stock one is....thats about all there is to it...

what's the advantage?

You want to shorten the hoses and mount the reservoir on the fire wall. You need to keep the reservoir in order to keep the rack lubricated.

I tried this on my Prelude and went back to power steering. The 3hp isn’t worth it to me. The feedback is much better but, my car’s steering would constantly fight me, especially around high speed corners. I think it’s because I run 225 R compounds. I’ve driven cars with smaller street tires that didn’t do this.

it looks ugly there...

i just attached a hose to a t-fitting and ziptied it upright. if anyone has anything to say to that, speak now before the engine goes back in. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif
