jdm h22 wont start
i got a jdm h22, the car ran fine before no problems, i decided it was time to do a tune up and that where the problems began. I replaced the spark plugs..then i did the distibutor cap, hook up all the wires correctly 1-3-4-2 and now wont start, i had to use a 90-91 accord distibutor cap, it looks the exact same i took it back to napa cuz the car wouldnt start they said there should be no problems...if i use this cap would i have to replace the rotor with a accord rotor??? I have no idea what is going on with my car..I then took the spark plugs out regapped them at 0.40 they were at 0.44 but the ones in it before were at 0.40. I noticed that only the spark plugs near the alternator had black on it on the others had lilttle if none. i would use my old cap for now but it got broke.
ANY HELP WOULD BE nice please thanks alot...

About the cap, no you don't have to get the matching rotor. I used a distributor cap from a D16Z which bolted on with no problems and the car started up just fine.

Look closely at the inside of the dist. cap versus the original. The easiest is to use a bent paperclip to measure inside diameter between the two caps. They should be EXTREMELY close or the rotor will either rub or bigger gap will rob power from the plugs.
Next - failure to start is very likely to be either rotor bug is half turn out of timing (I don't remember if it is keyed on a prelude - I think that it is and this cannot happen easily) or plug wires didn't get back into the correct holes. Look around on the internet, there are plenty of pictures - autozone.com has some, I think, if you put in your care and lookup tuneup parts... there are links there for maintenance manuals.

Re: jdm h22 wont start
while following my manual i decided to FOLLOW it... they showed the diagram of the dizzy and wires facing up... when in actuality you have to turn the manual vertical if you were to line them up like that
