Default jdm ecu and usdm ecu VTEC rpms?

alright, i was under the impression that the jdm ecu kicked vtec in at 4500. i had a automatic lsd jdm h22a swap in my last prelude and that was when vtec engaged. my friend just swapped a usdm h22a1 into his lude with the usdm ecu and it kicks in at around 5200. now i just bought a imported jdm prelude and vtec also engages at 5200??? anyone?
thanks

I thought they both were the same.

I have a jdm p13 ecu and use the stock tach (inaccurate?) and vtec engages at around 5000rpm and always thought the usdm was the same.

I think its supposed to be 5250 in both usdm and jdm, but it may look a little off on the stock tack.

just out of curiosity what year car do you have SteveoBA8.

my 92 tach was alot more off then my 95 I believe.

Just seeing if its from car to car thats inaccurate or from year to year.

my automatic lude with the jdm h22a swap engaged vtec at 4500? that would have to be WAY off.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Abstractlude &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">my automatic lude with the jdm h22a swap engaged vtec at 4500? that would have to be WAY off.

your secondaries should open at 4600, and vtec at 5250, unless you're running a chipped ecu, or have a vtec controller.
