ITBs or Skunk2 IM

Im inthe early stages of doing an H22 swap to my 91 Lude..and Im doing a NA build but I cant make my mind up on what to get. So what would be the best?

All depends on what you are doing. Do some research through the vast archives of Honda-Tech. If you are doing strictly bolt ons, then I would suggest the Euro R intake manifold as opposed to the Skunk2; Skunk2 manifolds usually shows better gains on a boosted setup.

ITBs show the best gains when used on a full build.

If your even asking, dont go with the ITB's. Skunk 2 just sucks. Euro-R is awesome but a little pricey and far from a bolt on affair.

you need to make up your mind on what your goals are. not simply going NA or boost. that's step one. you need to give us more details about your build. but first, i think it's safe to assume that you need to do a little more researching. there are plenty of threads about itbs and even more about the skunk2's. search the archives. good luck.

To answer you question ITB's if you looking for the most power...If not dont even get skunk2 euro r is good but i also like black trax.

save your money until you are in the later stages and know what you want. As for now, i recommend using a stock IM with the IAB plate removed and gasket-matched. I've seen dyno's with modified stock IM's, making power impressively close to the Euro.

that's debatable er rather subjective

Just get the Euro R. If you don't know what the best intake set up would be, I highly doubt you would build an engine that would truly benefit from an ITB set up.

nowadays, the price you pay for "good" ITB's, you could have a custom intake manifold made.

I've seen both the EuroR and Skunk2 manifolds perform well.

the intake length, throttle size, vtec crossover and overall tune play a large role in how the manifold performs.
