Default I have a 5th gen lude with h22a1 engine broke timing belt while driving.

I have a 99 prelude with h22a1 engine and while I was driving on the freeway my timing belt broke. My first question is has anyone heard of such a swap and how lucky am I if no valves were bent. Because I seriously think I didn't bent a valve. I've removed my head already and saw with my own eyes. It's currently at the machine shop awaiting confirmation of my suspicion.

Yeah, I have had valves hit bad enough to cause 0 compression, yet not look damaged at all.

The A1 swap is slightly odd, but it was probably readily available when the original H22A4 had an issue.
