How to bypass fitv?

How to bypass fitv?
Hi,
Is it possible to just connect the input and output coolant hoses that connect to the fitv and remove the whole fast idle thermo valve? Will any coolant leak out from the throttle body, where the fitv sat?

if you want to bypass it, just bypass the coolant lines and leave it on there. you'll have to make a "gasket" for it to block all of the holes, just use a piece of gasket paper and don't cut any holes in it except for the 3 bolt holes.
conversely you could machine a blockoff plate but that's probably excessive...

Actually this is what you need to do i order to bypass the FITV http://www.preludepower.com/forums/s...highlight=FITV There is no gasket needed. I know it says IACV but it is an FITV trust me.

Meh. I'd consider the gasket to be the simplest option. Plus, the parts inside the FITV aren't exactly known to be reliable over long periods of time, so that funky redone contraption could come loose and start leaking air past the butterfly over time.

Well best isn't always easiest or cheap, me, I wen't the expensive route and replaced my throttle body with an Omni Power 70mm that doesn't have an FITV at all.
