h23a1 crank pully
Will a fluidampr crank pulley for a h22 fit a h23? I don't see a good aftermarket crank pulley for my h23a1 93 Honda prelude. If it won't fit is there any company's out there that make one that fits my particular engine?

Re: h23a1 crank pully
It seems to me that a crank pulley for a h22 will fit a h23 crank. At least from visual inspection seems like they are the same. Anyone ever tried it?

Re: h23a1 crank pully
Not sure about 4th gen h22 crank pulley but neither of my h23 crank pulleys fit my friends 97 sh prelude (h22a4). Havent tried it on my 98 base though, it may be different I never cross referenced the part numbers. They will physically bolt to the crank because I was using one on my 98 spec h22a4 on the stand.

Re: h23a1 crank pully
Well, just remembered I have a f23 crank in the block on the stand. Dont know how that changes things. Ill look and see if I have an h22a4 pulley boxed up somewhere and see if it fits on my h23. I Dont have a head for it so judging correct belt spacing wont be feasible.

Re: h23a1 crank pully
I have used both stock pulleys back and forth on h22a and h23a1 cranks. The h22a4 with the sensor on the oil pump may be different however, no idea if they interchange.

Re: h23a1 crank pully
OK thanks for the help! I'm gonna order a fluidamper crank pulley for a h22 and feel fairly confidante it will fit on my h23a1. Just hoping that there is no belt alignment issues. Should be no prob if snobordoia was doing it with no problems. Any more info would be great on what will interchange with what motors.

Re: h23a1 crank pully
i really want to order this ati damper pulley for the h22, even though i have a h23 engine. i still am not positive the h22 pulley will fit. Does anyone have a h23 and know for a fact that a h22 crank pulley will fit and belts align? i am really in a jam, i need to upgrade this pulley asap but im not sure if there is a good replacement out there.... HELP...... ive contacted ati and they say that since its not confirmed to fit they would have to custom make one that is $890, ill spend $400 but i have better things to sink the extra $500 bucks into, I refuse to spend $900 on a pulley when the h22 might bolt right up..... like i said im in a JAM....

Re: h23a1 crank pully
Ok let me put it this way, I have 2 different engines I swap back and forth in my car.
One is a JDM H22A, bone stock.
One is a H23 I built, using an H23A1 crankshaft.
I have one stock crank pulley that I swap between both engines, depending on which one I am running at the time.
