H22A4 NO Compression
Hi! I bought a spare h22 for my 2001 prelude, i were trying to do 250, but at 240 the engine kinda bugged out then i arrived home, day after i started it and it knocked like hell sounds coming transmission's side at the bottom... any idea? took compression test, 210 210 210 155, 155 is cylinder 1 ...!?! the timing belt side, so i did a compression test on my spare one, noticed 0 compression on all cylinders, i put a big spoon of oil in each cylinders, same results, distributor is missing that aint matter right? shouldnt, rare are those h22, im gonna miss my prelude bad :/

Re: H22A4 NO Compression
How did you do a compression test on a engine not installed in a car? You know to test compression you need to turn the engine over at starter speed with the starter (350-400 rpm) and with the throttle wide open for 5 plus seconds.
Otherwise, an engine sitting on the floor (If it does have 0 compression) is going to turn over by hand, like very easily and if it does then it most likely has no timing belt or it is horribly mis-aligned. That or you have a broken gauge.
