Default H22A1 hp question

Aren't JDM H22's just called H22A and USDM are like H22A1, H22A3 etc...Well I have a H22A1 and I was told that it was a JDM engine. Doesn't it being a H22A1 make it USDM? And its from a '95 so it should have a 190 hp right? i just want to have everything straight.

correct, h22a is jdm, h22a* is usdm, so ur h22a1 is from a 93-95 usdm lude and is rated from the factory at 190hp w/ 10:1 compression

H22A1 is 93-96
H22A4 is 97-01 (Base and Type SH)

H22A1 and H22A4's are ALL 190HP.

ok now I have another question.

On my other prelude obd2 the redline is mid 7k

On my '95 it redlines a 6537 rpm. It does have a JDM p-13 ecu but what should it be stock? I thought it was like 7.3k or something. I think the JDM ecu might be screwing me over since I THINK Im losing 1 grand of rpms. And the ecu is not chipped or anything. but I tuned the air/fuel with my vafc.

sounds like you are throwing a code that lowers the rev limiter to protect the motor.

H22s redline at 7200. Try either disconnecting the AFC or making it not change anything and see if that helps. Also, check your CEL.

too low of oil pressure can cause fuel cut at around 6000, it will throw your ecu into limp mode but wont throw a cel

ok well Im not getting any codes at all. But I don't have an oil pressure gauge. And It does feel like fuel cut off now that I think of it. Like in my stang before I got the bigger fuel pump and injectors. But I did just have a balance shaft seal that went out. It wasn't leaking at all before it just popped out one day. I just popped it back in and don't drive it much.
