Needing to time sert 2/8 vc studs (holds vc to head). I ordered new ones from Honda but they didn't know the size. I've been wanting to do this for quite sometime but was collecting info to prep myself .. Or at least trying to.

I can't seem to get a solid answer on the size of these bolts.

Are they 10x1.25? Im needing to figure out what time sert kit to purchase.

I couldn't say for sure. If memory serves the pitch is all 1.25 if that helps.

Tell u what, if u look at the Honda-issued diagrams for the valve cover, and follow the number to the description sheet, it should list the bolt size precisely. I know the nut itself is 10mm cuz I've broke em before.

Edit: I know honda said they didn't know, but I've never seen a bolt not listed by size on their diagrams

yeah, whatever diagram they had on their computer that shows the head/valve components didnt have any sizes and what not.


but decided to take my valve cover off and inspected everything. the 10mm nut itselft was stripped so i was able to replace all 8 bolts/nuts without a problem :]
