H22 timing belt tension
I have installed the timing belt and timing balancer belt and the tension of the balancer belt seems to me very poor (compared to the timing belt tension). Is this right? I dont want to destroy my engine...

Re: H22 timing belt tension (petrv)
of the oil leaks out of the belt tensioner, is it really bad? caus eive replaced my water pumkp and timing belt, and the belt tensioner was a bitch to install back cause it wouldnt go back down. so i used a zippy tie and kinda forced it down. is this right?

Re: H22 timing belt tension (F120man)
forcing it can break the 1 way spring. There is a special clamp that is used to hold the tensioner while it is compressed.

Yeah, Honda supplies it when you buy a new tensioner.
The $50 I spent on a new one for myself is well worth the peace of mind it gave me after trying to install it with the old one...the new one is much more taught than the old one with both at full lock.
