Default H22 isn't so enjoyable hot...

The car: 1992 Prelude SI (h23)
The motor: JDM H22 from hmotorsonline.com

The swap went easily except for the external/internal coil nonesense. Then the car start to have a HARDCORE sputtering issue. anything more than 45% throttle at or above 3300rpm wouldn't happen. so much sputtering that i could've sworn i was on a bucking bronco. Another problem was it wouldn't start if it sat in the sun through the day (park it at night, try and drive it after 9 or 10 am -- when the car gets warm form the sun). If i park it in the garage, or under a large shade tree, i can start it.

so i got a new distributor, knock sensor, changed all fluids etc. Works perfectly. and drives like a beast. But the heat problem still remains.

CLIFF NOTES:
IF THE CAR SITS IN THE SUN, IT WONT START

Anyone have this problem or have any clue as to what this can be? its not the battery as the car will crank over till the cows come home, starter is about 4 years old and still works GREAT... fuel pump issues maybe?

its the main relay, under heat, things expand, and those soldiers are not making good connection, either fix them or get a new one, problem fixed...

like has been said WAY too many times on here lately....

if you raise the aft shields, you may be able to use the deflector array to repels the suns heat.. therefore keeping the main relay online while the car starts
