H22 gearsets/ solutions for the big power guys
I made a similar thread in the drag racing forum, but theres next to no activity over there.
i stepped away from the forums for a while and am hoping in that time we finally found a solution to our weak H/F transmissions. Im on the fence at the moment about building my block and really pushing my turbo to the 500whp/400wtq+ range. Obviously i want the power and i do not mind building the block to achieve that... but i do not want to be picking up pieces of my transmission off the street every 3 weeks. I don't have the time or patience for that ****. I know that in the past, HT user "extralargenog" was spear - heading the movement to have quality gearsets made by reputable companies for our platforms, but i can not find anything indicating whether or not any of that came to fruition, particularly with the albins gearset group buy thread i found.
Is anyone here aware of any progress on this front or any solutions to this issue that has come about over the years? Seems that the consensus is that after 400wtq, we'r shredding oem gears, then around 500wtq, the aftermarket gearsets are failing as well (this info is coming from threads from 2012-13, which is about all that's available). I can't see the point in building an engine only to deal with these problems. However, i know there are plenty of high power H/F guys involved in drag racing and the like that are keeping everything together, and i want to know how..... so help a brotha out and drop some knowledge on me. Im itching to pull the trigger on this block but can't do it if i will be dealing with incessant transmission issues, it's just not worth it.

Re: H22 gearsets/ solutions for the big power guys
thanks, I'll look into mfactory/synchrotech. Are you aware of anyone who has ran their product and found them to be reliable? If so, what were the power levels and can you link me to any threads where i can see someone's experience?
