when i have a rusted/stripped nut i usually try going one size smaller with a 12 point socket and pound it on there real good, soak it down with some PB blaster, and it usually works. Dont forget to replace it with new hardware.

It seems like a lot of people have an isssue getting that frontside EGR nut off. You pretty much need to use a pivoting adaptor on a rachet the FIRST time, otherwise it will get rounded off.

I bought a set of bolt-out bolt extractors from Sears, and they got the job done.

ok this is the way I know, that works

1/4 Drive Ratchet, 12MM SHItty socket (not craftsman) because they are thinner.... Use a 6" extention on the 1/4 inch and u should have the clearance

did you get a set of bolt-extractors? you can also try getting a "nut-splitter" but it might be too cramped for that

Here's a set from Harbor Freight tools.

9 Pc 3/8 in. Drive Metric Bolt Extractor Socket Set

I'm picking these up in the morning to tackle mine.
