EGR control Solenoid H22A specific?
Will a egr control solenoid from another motor work? or are they motor specific? same goes for the CVC.
I've checked part numbers and they are different but that may be due to the different mounting points on them. As the preludes have them mounted on the shock tower, other models have the egr control solenoid mounted on the firewall along with the CVC.
So will a egr control solenoid from a 1.5 1.8 or even 2.0 cut it for the 2.2 motor?

Some Preludes dont have a CVC valve. Ive been using frequency solenoids from 94-97 Accords,(plentiful in junkyards). The p/n is the same as Prelude. The CVC valve is not needed.

Is there a difference in 'frequency' of the solenoids? or would all honda solenoids function the same. I mean they all are just grounded by the ecu to work and if they all are the same then one from a civic would work just the same as one from a prelude.

Do you have a frequency valve from a Civic? Not many Civics have EGR. Older Honda EGR systems use a solenoid valve, not a frequency valve. 90-97 Accords and 92-01 Prelude, Civic VX, and EG Si all use frequency valves. A regular on/off solenoid valve will fail in place of a frequency valve. What valve do you have?

I know that the Accord valve is in fact a frequency valve and I have used them on many H swaps. Not sure on the CRX valve. The Accord valve is the same as the Prelude and they mount on a nice bracket that makes it easy for custom, professional looking install.
