ebay headers

helping a budddy look for an exhaust setup for his 98 prelude project car. my first thought is they are a bit sketchy, but anyone running generic ebay headers like these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors....m245 with good luck? not super concerned with the small collector just that they will not crack and that the flanges will seal.
am i correct in thinking a megan unit would be the next step up from an ebay unit?

on that note, anyone have a header they would sell? http://is.rely.net/1-92-29998-l-1gbM...AmVuBW3hGg.gif

eBay header here...probably for about a year and a half. No issues.

Got one here, fits and works just fine, except my car is so low I am killing it!

Had one on my car, the flex pipe developed a leak hole in 9 months after use, had to buy another downpipe https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emthdown.gif

From everything I've read, and I've checked into this a lot, eBay headers like this generic piece have the exact same diameters as the stocker. So what's the point? It might look pretty for a couple of weeks, but then the cheap stainless finish will turn yellow/brown. Although, I have been considering getting one just to mod the collector and see how well it works.

Re: ebay headers (98vtec)

the car was bought without any exhaust at all and a stock setup would be preferred but cannot be found around here. looks like we will be going with the ebay headers, thanks for the input everyone.

Re: ebay headers (Sonic Reducer)

People with hondas are always replacing their stock exhaust with aftermarket stuff. Are you sure you looked?

a 10-second search yielded this:
