Default Clutch pedal falling to the floor

2001 Type SH. I've been doing some heavy-duty work on the engine, so I had to replace the slave clutch cylinder. Everything seems to have bolted up in place, but I can't get the clutch pedal operating again. I tried to bleed the clutch fluid, but still, the only thing returning the clutch pedal to the neutral position is the spring tension. What gives?

what was the process you used to bleed the hydraulics?

when i was bleeding my clutch i made this mistake...you have make sure the resevoir is filled with brake fluid, when you actually go to bleed the brakes you have to make sure the resevoir does not get to low, because if it does then it is just pulling more air into the system... so just make sure your resevoir is full... if that does not work then you have a leak somewhere....

sounds like there is air in the clutch system so bleed the clutch completely and fill the reservoir and fill it up. a buddy of mine put a shirt over the reservoir and blew into the reservoir a bit to push the fluid down in to the lines, then he checked the level and put more and did the some process. but make sure the clutch is down otherwise it aint going no where

sorry if doesn't make any sense

did you bench bleed the clutch master cylinder, if not it takes a lot longer to bleed.

try this method to bleed it. Open the bleeder and put a hose on the bleeder into a container full of brake fluid. Make sure the hose stays submerged and just pump the pedal until you have a nice steady steam with air bubbles. On the last pump hold down and tighten the bleeder. This method works for me. Make sure the clutch master cylinder is toped off.

Thanks, good advice - I ended up getting a vacuum bleeding kit and sucking a whole lot of brake fluid through - a whole lot, so it took a while. But, the pedal is fine now!
