Can you confirm this OBD2 EGR DELETE CEL Fix?
Will this work? I just got my new egr plate and i'de like to install it. I just need to know if this solution will work?
you can do it what you need is a relay and a 0-5k ohm rheostat from radio shack. Now on the drivers side tower where the egr solenoid is located, you will see the plug from the ECU that operates the EGR solenoid to allow vacuum to go to the EGR valve. On top of the egr valve is also a plug for the lift sensor.
Wire your relay so that instead of going to the solenoid, it goes to the coil of the relay. Cut the wire going to the ECU for the EGR lift sensor. Then wire the relay so that the wire on the pole goes to the EGR life sensor wire going to the ecu and the normally closed position is wired to the EGR lift sensor wire going to the sensor itself. Then the position that is actuated needs to be tied to the Rheostat set at about 2200 ohms and then after that needs to be spliced into the EGR lift sensor's 5v wire.
There and WALA, no more CEL for a non-working EGR. This is a lot easier to do right at the ECU. If you have a Pin readout of the ecu wires, then do this right there and you won't have to run any wires across the engine bay.

so basically the resistor and relay trick the ecu into thinking that the egr valve / vac solenoid are functioning correctly. interesting. if my car was together i would try it.

I'm going to do some more research online. Supposedly, this works for all vehicles. The Ohm rating will be different for all cars. The h22 needs 2200 Ohm to properly trick it into thinking it's working. I wonder if this work around will all me to remove the egr valve all together? I'll update as soon as i get more info on the details. I wanna ditch this CEL once and for all!

Here's something i've found so far.... This might work at the harness better as well. Look very simple!

Car more than likely wont run right without it even if a CEL is not present as the ECU is tuned to use EGR, get a tune and do it the right way.

Jackpot!!!!
I managed to create mechanical fix for egr cel (p0401 insufficient flow) for skun2 intake manifold already tested with obd2 scanner on my car. It is 100% working!!!!!!
I originally posted it on socalprelude wit pics and how to, here is the link

If any questions hit me.

I have no idea.
When i got my skunk2 IM installed there was no egr port just block of plate, so within couple miles i got CEl 'egr insufficient flow'. I made attachment for egr with 2 nipples so i can attach them to manifold and other 1 to intake, so egr sees the flow and that fix it

I'm curous on the benefits as well Cause I just cleaned out my EGR ports and that would kinda of suck if theres more benefit to deleting it than just cleaning it lol.
