I had 3 to compare... the h22a skunk2 i had were extremly lighter than aem... also to fit the new style skunk2 you need to grind the plastic part of the cover.. (the half moon to clear, because the bolt is exactly the lenght needed to fit.. so when you clear the spacing you actually go through the plastic.. here is a pic to compare..

look at the plastic cover...
this is my h22a built motor for my ek, mind you the headers different,so is the intake and other things
More PoWA!

Skunk2 are far lighter then aem and stock:
Stock when i shipped a set out that were off my usdm h22 were a lot heavier then any..
i never had a chance to weight each one, but i know that the skunk2 are a lot cheaper to mail, and mail is done by weight
I have an extra skunk2 H22 gear here, just one thought , if anyone is looking for it:

Re: (TURSpoonEK)
I plan on purchasing cam gears and type-s cams when I hit 60,000miles.
How much gain do you guys think I could gain with the mods I have now? 10-15hp with tuning?

well you should see some decent gains from the cams.. but the gears are for fine tuning and should be set on a dyno: they dont add performance alone.. but do offer some weight reducing benifits
