busted struts
I just installed some adjustable coilovers on my 98 prelude, they have only been on there 4 days and I already have 2 busted struts, what would be the reason for this? Is tokico a good brand for replacement? I just need some advice on if I should replace them with the same type of strut, or buy some aftermarket ones?

Re: busted struts (crznlo)
What type of coil-overs are they? Tokico's are good... KYB AGX's are good too.

Re: busted struts (crznlo)
I guess you get what you pay for, they are just some cheap knock off's!

If you kept the stock damper and some coil-over springs and lowered it a bit then the damper will be compressed more than normal.
The seals wear out fast as hell then its time for new dampers. I heard KYB's are good and koni-yellow/red dampers. Maybe eibach for springs. |
Re: busted struts (crznlo)
The shocks busted becuase its OEM and it can't handle the higher springs rates of the adjustable coilovers. Get some performance gas shocks to handle the coilovers.
