F23A 4th Gen Prelude Turbo Build
Well, figured i'd go ahead and make an introduction/build thread. My name's Dylan. I'm not sure if anybody has done an F23 swap into a Prelude but I figured i'd give it a try. Going to give a little background about the car etc, and will update this the car progresses. Now the car originally started as a 96 si car. I had taken out the H23a1, and swapped in a Blue top H23a. Motor lasted a good 8 months lol, 8500 took its toll. Dumb of me, but ya live and learn. Buddy of mine had influence me on the sohc F series, as he had a turbo F in his accord. I got the Jdm F23a from JEI for a really good deal that I couldn't pass up. Put an eBay kit on the car and was running about 6psi, street tuned on **** Crome. But it worked for now. Ended up blowing a head gasket in 2 weeks. I had lost interest at this point and ended up buying a 2006 Gsxr 1000. Now a year later I sold the bike, and i'm back at it with the car. Now it's got ARP's and it's just about finished for the 2nd time to hit the streets again. I will try to get some pictures up soon of everything, as well as a build list of everything that's on the car.

I don't want to dirty up your thread but I was just curious as to what eBay kit you used or what your turbo setup was?
What did you make for power #'s?

I just put one together, Bought everything separate. Log manifold setup, 57 trim, 38mm wastegate. Unfortunately it has not seen a dyno yet.

Re: F23A 4th Gen Prelude Turbo Build
UPDATE:
The .57 trim that I had on the car took a ****, expected from an eBay turbo. Hit or miss. Ended up buying a .50 trim from a buddy of mine for $50 so can't complain. Got the car retuned this past Sunday on 13psi. After leaving work yesterday the car started missing and shut off, so currently trying to Diagnose that. Hopefully it's nothing major, and just the Autozone Dizzy that took a ****. Car felt really good on 13psi. If I get everything sorted out, I'll get some videos of pulls etc.

What did you make for power on 13psi, any idea?
What is your most recent .50 trim turbo?
-Post up details about what happened when the car most recently quit, we should diagnose that...lol
I'd start with:
See if you can hear the fuel pump running
See if you have spark
You've built and boosted motors, I know this guy knows what hes doing but hey, lets bring the storm on that car, get it running again lol
