Default Big problem with Golden Eagle Oil Sandwich Adapter

If you intend on using this on your Prelude, be warned! It will not allow enough clearance to get your oil filter on. It just wont clear the crossmember behind the engine!!

The only way it will fit is if you cut off the lip on that crossmember to allow the oil filter to slide in over the nipple on the sandwich adapter.

I ran into this problem on my 4th gen and ended up selling the filter.

Any of you guys run one successfully on a 5th gen?

I installed the greddy one on a 5th gen this week. I just grinded about 1/2 inch off of the lip and the oem filter fits just fine.

that's why greddy sells the relocation kits.

oil sandwich + relocation kit = happy H22 owners

I have the greddy sandwich plate, and I can get the filter and sandwich plate on without any modifications. You just have to put them on in the right order to make it work. It is very tight though.
