99 prelude smoking- A LOT of oil going in from pcv valve.
I have a 99 prelude base, to cut to the point my pcv valve is spitting an excessive amount of oil into my intake which makes my car smoke and smell like it's burning oil... is there a dramatic difference between the oem pcv's flow rate and the auto stores pcv's flow rate that would help me solve my issue???

If you are getting that much oil through the pcv, you probably have excessive blowby, and are burning oil from the rings as well. I would do a compression test and leakdown test, but it is probably time for a rebuild.

Yea I was afraid of that answer, but I I have heard that before so it's most likely my problem, but also let me add it doesnt constantly smoke, it only smokes at times like when i down shift into 4th and third... i got a cheapy oil catch can but it wasnt baffled so i helped for a little bit then the oil started to go through the line again.... but when theres no oil in the intake or pcv lines it doesnt smoke or smell like burning oil....thanks man
