Default 98 Prelude Type SH

Heya there! I have a 98 Type SH. The h22 that’s in there has a spun bearing. And I’m trying to find another motor that is pretty much a plug and play that is pretty cheap. Yeah I know the h22 is the best out there I just don’t wanna spend 1400 on a motor at the moment. And a engine swap checklist? Like everything Id wanna do/get/transfer over to make it work. I’d also like to know what some good import sites are. Cheap and reliable.

Its not going to be super cheap since you cannot use your old transmission so you have to buy whole engine with transmission there.

Ask a quote from your local machine shop that how much it would be to hone the block and change piston rings and bearings.

See that you also have to rebuild the swap engine too if you want to make it last (head, timing side, clutch, gaskets and seals etc)!

Either way its going to cost you more than 1400

Thanks! So a f20b wouldn’t drop right in with the old tranny?

No, only a H22A4 "SH" engine drops right in with the old transmission.

If it is one with the ATTS type transmission bolted to it... then yes, that engine too.
