Can I swap my 92 h23a1 from a auto to std

Yes you can do it if you buy a new tranny which will cost a good chunk of change, but not as much as the labor will be if you have someone install it. If you want to you should go for it, it will definitely be the best mod you can ever make. You have to install clutch lines, master cylinder, slave sylinder, oh yeah and drill through your fire wall and put in that all important third pedal, and buy a clutch flywheel and new tranny, but if you are up for it - go for it and post pics of the install.

Will the shift linkage line up and work or will I need to cut and mod.

Will the old ECU and shafts work will I need to change the wireing.


This is my first import I am a hot rod guy but wanted to do something different.
So I bought a nice 92 h23a1 lude the auto is sliping and want to swap.
I work in a machine shop and have big plans for the little car.

you need a 5spd ecu and new shift linkage
