did you find it to be a major pain in the *** to sand and just deal with the area under the shock tower and above the frame rail that's behind that bracket? haha i know that it's a major headache to clean from my experience.

Im waiting for my Turbo/Downpipe/DumpTube/Intake Manifold to come back from jet hot. Im getting them Sterling coated for bling / thermal coating

from what I see. your autobody skills are greeat.. I've been working in autobody for over 7 years now. Started in highschool and I can say you paint better then some of the painters here at my work. But yet again they have to paint 6-9 cars a day. but still. mad props

btw, how much did you spend for those gravity feed paint guns? I dunno if you know this but some of the holes on the radiator support that you shaved were to clip in the wire that goes to the hood latch but i'm sure a lil doublesided tape will make it work just fine

again nice work

Wow. That looks amazing man, love the way the engine looks. What kinda paint did you put on the block/head? I have my engine out right now but i dont have the time to do anything like you have done, but i would like to clean some old stuff. Did you just use high temp black spray paint on the alt/ps and ac mounts?

thansks man..

the guns werent too expensive.. a little less than Sata guns.. but not as much as them.. yeah im aware of the holes i shaved on the radiator support.. i didnt like how honda used those clips to hold the hood latch cable and how it was routed.. i rerouted it.. and im using some custom clips to hold it under there

the black paint im using for the motor mounts, powersteering/ alt / mounts are actually black primer.... i like it how when it dries.. its flat matte black.. so it isnt glossy and shiney in person.. and leaves it with a very subtle look that wont take attention away from the valve cover and turbo..

ive tested this before and the primer leaves a very strong layer of paint, that is resistant to heat, wont fade, and wont stain from dirt and water

engine block and head and tranny is painted with 1200* aluminum paint..

is it aluminum spray paint, like in a rattle can? What brand is it, I'm gonna do the same thing when I pull my motor.

The black primer and 1200* paint can be purchased in a spray can? Would a place like home depot or walmart carry em? I wouldnt mind doing this to my mounts since i got em off right now. Also would this 1200 paint work on my header? I got a DC header that is real dirty.

it actually holds up ok, not as good as i would like it to.. for can paint thats high temp it will do.. its nothing a base coat / clear coat system would be like..

like if oil or water gets on it.. you can spray some orange blast cleaner and it will eat the oil.. but leave the paint alone.. you cant use carb cleaner or any other solvent like that to clean.. it will just melt the paint away.
