Default 3rd gen sounds like a diesel after valve adjustment

Ive read up on this a bit and have found that seemingly louder than usual valve noise as a result of valve adjustment, fuel starvation or a trick exhaust noise. I know my noise isnt exhaust. Its exessive valve noise like the head is coming apart. I adjusted lash to .004 int, .007 exh. The noise started after that. Im curious if anyone has seen this. The valves were way off and only had a very light tick before. Valves prior to adjustment were below .007 on the exhaust and WAY over .004 on the intake side. I had to add oil and it got better but still pretty bad. Ive got a fuel leak at #1 injector o-ring but it runs perfect so i dont think fuel starvation is the issue. I doubt that multiple sources including specific 3rd gen prelude sites would be wrong on the specs.

^+1. If it sounds worse than it did before, You must not have done it right. Do it again. Make sure you are doing the cylinders in the right order.

I figured as much. I've decommissioned the car due to a leaking injector O-ring. It's so bad i cant drive the car without getting sick lol and i can see fuel running down the #1 intake runner and injector, it even gets in the connector sometimes causing issues. I'll see what i can do about getting it back apart and rechecking that. Maybe this time I'll try to get a socket to the crank and do it that way instead of bumping with the starter. Kinda hard to get to the crank with the car 1" off the ground lol

Just take the wheel off, dude. Also, make sure you're doing it right. You probably got something messed up.
