hey guys i have a 2001 prelude type sh and today i took off the stock steering wheel and installed a nrg hub, quick release, and momo steering wheel. i put a 2 ohm resistor in place of the airbag to prevent a srs light. however when i re connected the battery the cel and atts light that had been on sense i bought the car disappeared. ive driven the car for a couple hours and the cel and atts light have yet to come back on. thoughts?

btw according to my mechanic the cel light was for some emission stuff that he said he could get to go away when my inspection expired. i have no idea why atts light was on

why was your airbag light on?
because now you don't have an airbag?

no i have no srs light. that was the point of the 2 ohm resistor. to trick the ecu into thinking the airbag was still there

ATTS light always comes on with the CEL light.

If you pulled the battery cable while you were working and/or pulled the ECU fuse, that would have cleared the CEL.

thanks for the information! i took it to my local shop and they said the cel and atts light reset themselves. so im enjoying the no cel and atts working!
