Default H22B? Does it really exist

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem

Here's the link on ebay. It actually has a close-up of the engine code which is clearly 'H22B'. Can anyone explain this? I've never heard of an H22B.

That almost looks like it was restamped or tampered with. The last 3 digits on the bottom number kinda look odd to me.

But why would you want to Photo Shop a block to say H22B from H22A and put it on E-Bay? That seems like to me a waste of time. I just don't see the point in that, but the seller (If they did do that.) must have some reason.. It doesn't really look that way, but it kinda looks painted though. It is werid though. I would like to know more about it if the seller could give me info on it.

If you are a Windows user you need to install Japanese language support from your Windows Installation CD. Then go back to the site, have the text translated, then recreate that image.

my personal guess is that its a block honda made for when someone blew up their prelude to swap in, but never originally came in a car. I know in some places (I beleive australia) they have h22z's because of this. I would say its no different then an h22a. I also doubt its photoshopped or tampered with... the only reason to do that would be to claim that its some never-heard of engine with like 250hp from the factory, which the seller is not doing.

If you look at what Sabbotage pointed out, I would say its a stolen H22A that had the serial number tampered with, and they changed the A to a B to throw off a potential buyer into thinking they were getting something special.

Look at the two 4's on that serial #, they don't look the same......

This engine does exist. Search google h22b engine

Its the 5th post down, He doesn't go into deatil or anything, but he says "turbo h22B"

I also found another thread saying the H22B came with turbo stock from the factory. I lost it.
I am going to keep searching.

Here is another link with little talk about it.

I don't doubt they exist but come on look at the engine code stamp? The only thing is, is the person selling this thing has an ebay store. Is this a cyber chop shop or what? Who knows, I'd stay away from it though.
