Default 1992 4WS SI to JDM H22 VTEC

I have recently purchased a JDM H22A (OBD-1) for my 92 SI (auto). I have
started the car and it is idling at 3000 RPMS. The ECU is a JDM VTEC (Auto).
Since the car idles at 3000 RPMS, the header turned orange (glowing). Car did
not overheat. I belive the problem is with the vacuum lines some where. I know
on the H23 it had only one vacuum plug on the end of the manifold and there is
two on the H22. The MAP sensor on the H23 is on the firewall, and the H22 has
it on the throttle body ( i extended the wires and connected it to the throttle
body MAP sensor, this got rid of the code). Has anybody done the H23 to JDM
H22? I am using the harness on H23, all I have to do is wire in VTEC, RIGHT
(green wire)??? Does anybody have a vacuum diagram on both models so I can
compare the vacuum lines?

I am having ECU Codes:
21 - VTEC ( have not wired yet)
36 - 4WS ( I do not know how to resolve this code, just want car running)
7 - TPS ( I had to buy one, and have not reset the voltage)
5 - MAP ( two sensors, which one to use?) SOLVED

Ok, when i did my swap, my car also idled high at first, to fix that you need to
adjust the thotle cable near the intake manifold. As far as vacuum lines go is
you used Helsm to help you with your swap you should easily be able to recheck
them. On mine it was really easy to tell what lines went were because of the
shape of the hoses after being in the same place for years. The vacuum lines
are the almost same for both years except the H23 had an extra one that went
into the intake piping which isnt used on the H22.

As far as the map senser went all you needed to do for that is use the lines off
of the one on the fire wall. you should have to re-wire anything there.

As far as the Vtec wiring it is actually a total of three wires. One wire
(green) goes from the vtec seleniod to A4, Two wires from the Vtec pressure
switch. The blu/blk one goes to D6 and the BLK one goes to the ground.

Ok now last but not least, this code has come up a ton this week on H-T. code
36 is for the traction control feture of the 4W p13 ecu (it has 4 plugs) make
sure that is if for the auto trans because they also make this in 5-spd. The
code is a ghost code and only shows up when you use the jumper the codes. It
does not show up on normal driving and does not affect the drive ability of the
vehicle.

I hope this helps

At first I thought the throttle cable was too tight, so disconnected the throttle cable and the accelelerator cable (auto tranny). This still made no difference, car still idled high. I saw in your reply that your car did idle high at first. How long did it idle high for? after the car warmed up. Is this a permament thing. I bought a Chilton book and it says that the H23 vacuum lines are identical to the H22. But like I said earlier, there are different vacuum lines in different locations. Is it possible that the JDM motor have a different vacuum set-ups? If so, how do I fix that? I know there are some you really don't need and can plug up I need to know which ones are the right ones. Although I have never seen under the hood of a 93-96 VTEC (USDM) prelude, this could help me out alot.
I have removed the JDM fuel rail in favor for a AEM Rail, I also decided to keep the H23 Fuel Pressure Regulator on the rail (heard the PSI pressure is higher). But this should not be causing the high idle.

I had to buy a new (DC sports) Header since the H23 downpipe did not fit. I have never seen a header GLOW and I know that is not normal. Could I be running too rich on a stock program. I have came to the conclusion that it is the catalyst converter being clogged, but I have never heard of a converter clogging up instantly. (It worked fine prior to the swap)

I would hate to take it to a speed shop.

Thanks for all the support.
