Re: (racerx)
4g and 5g Brakes
calipers: Rear calipers are the same on both gens and all models. The 4g S and 4g SI have the same front calipers. The 4g vtec has the same front calipers as the 5g.
brake lines: Different but might work.
perportioning valves: Different, but I need a conformation that the 4g vtecs is different from the SIs. Difference is probably to fix the front/ rear brake bias due to the 5gs bigger calipers and rotors. With a Helms and some rearanging of the brake lines, the valve could be an easy fix for those running Legend calipers on 4g's.
booster: Different mounting for master cylinder but use the same firewall gasket. This is another possible upgrade for 4g's. Need to know brake line pressures and petal ratio to know for sho.
Master cylinder: Different mounting but the same bore. Incidentally, the Legend and NSX's MC bore is also 1".
I also need a conformation from someone. In one of Advanceds brake books, I saw that the '90-'91 Prelude SIs front calipers were the same as the 4g SIs. Can anyone tell me if this is true??? Is this another candidate for Legend calipers?
If anyones got info like this on any system, let see it!

P5P : 97-00 OBD-2 Prelude Type-S (JDM ECU)
These are the ECU #'s for our ludes. What about the 1996 Prelude (first year OBD2)? Is it P14 or P5P or something else?</TD></TR></TABLE>
96 is a p13, let me clarify this list,
ECU Types and Numbers
P13 : 93-95 OBD-1 Prelude VTEC
P13 : 1996 OBD-2 Prelude VTEC
P14 : 93-95 OBD-1 Prelude Si non-VTEC
P14 : 1996 OBD-2 Prelude Si non-VTEC
P5M: 97-01 OBD-2 Prelude Base
P5P: 97-01 OBD-2 Type-SH
P5P : 97-01 OBD-2 Prelude Type-S (JDM)
That's right the P5P type-s ecu is indistinguishable from the USDM type-s by code only.
One question though:
ECU Types and Numbers
P13 : 93-95 OBD-1 Prelude Vtec
P14 : 93-95 OBD-1 Prelude Si (non Vtec)
P5P : 97-00 OBD-2 Prelude Type-S (JDM ECU)

Pretty sure all Prelude stock wheels are 6.5" in width.

Re: Hey I have an Idea. (prelittlelude)
Hey do you know the differences between the H23A and H23A1? Cuz I was planning to throw a H23A in my 94 lude. Any feedback is cool.

The tranny code for the SIR S-spec is M2B4 (JDM LSD), the Type S tranny code is M2U4(ATTS), same as the USDM type SH. The Type S tranny is the same as The Type SH except for the ATTS which has been modified to accomodate extra features on the Type S that the Type SH does not have. The Type S has variable control ABS, which means when you brake during a corner the ATTS adjusts braking force on all four wheels to prevent a spin out and retain maximum control. The tranny is another indistinguishable item between the Type S and the Type SH.
