WRECKED 2008 R6

damn that sucks bro, get it back together and this time be more careful. you're lucky it was just your bike and not your life. a mistake is only a mistake if you don't learn from the experience. it's not the end of the world most people drop their bikes. they atleast usually wait a couple days before dumping it https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif

so your tire wasnt scrubbed in, you tried to give it too much lean angle, and then you gas'd it too early with too much aggressiveness - which consequently made you get 'sideways'.

How bad is the bike? But more importantly are you ok? I dropped a bike today too, before everyone gets out their flamethrowers, I would just like to admit that my accident was 100% user error.

It was a 2000 cbr and its my friends old bike. He lets/ me take out out whenever I want. Its pretty beat up, so I use it to gain some xp points. Anyways I was done riding for today and was pulling up to his drive way. Its uphill at ruffly 15% grade and its not paved, so rocks and dirt is what I have to go up about 150 feet. I pulled in in first and quickly went into second anticipating major traction loss. I was going about ~10 mph at this point. The road gets more steep and I was forced to apply more throttle to keep balance as I was going up. I steady add throttle, but the combination of high gear along with the steep hill climb makes me loose balance at which point i try to regain it up speeding up. The tires break loose and Im going sideways. The bike then makes a complete 180 and falls over on my right leg at no more than 5 mph. Because its so steep, I begin to slide down while still under the bike. I come to a complete stop and pick up the bike noticing that the brake handle was snapped. http://is.rely.net/1-92-30009-l-tEzP...BTGi0jOCgA.gif I call the owner, and hes the coolest guy alive, saying that its no big deal and that I should just be more careful next time..

im jus sad... well the story is, i was wearing a helmet and a padded jacket (thank god). pull out of my jobs parking lot, which lead to a back road, working the gears up to to about 75mph (1/2 mile road), coming to a slight right turn, braking hard and the bike started to go side ways, inwhich there was island ahead, thats when the bike hit and i "flew" off

the bike has a big dent on the tank, crack trans cover, torn seats, basicly the whole top of the bike is damage, but everything from thr R6 sign down is clean...

its those damn stock shitty tires they put on yamaha's... let me guess dunlop 208's or some shit, i would not trust those tires with my life.... so did you have insurance, license, or permit?????

Wait, it was a slight right turn...and you crammed the brakes? why? why not just roll slowly off the throttle, keep it steady, lean in and follow the curve?

oh I know, because it's your first bike, and all you knew how to do was run it wide open through the gears!
