repost

Unsung idiots is more like it. I'm extremely appreciative of track workers but those guys went out on a hot track to remove debris. HUGE no-no. There's a reason why the flags exist... and while the reason they went out there is respectable, their choice when to do it was not. If there was such a danger that immediate action needed to be taken why wasn't a red flag thrown?

If it was then it was thrown way too late or the riders missed it.

This is the reason everyone hates US tracks...they are crewed by muppets.

1. The rider goes down but instead of flagging and moving to before the apex of the corner two muppets wander to the scene of the crash.

2. No radio conatct to red flag the race, if it had of been the riders woule have their arms raised.

Have seen this before and its just pure stupidity. Gives a bad name to an already sh*te reputation for US racing.

i didnt see the vid but from the reactions i know what happened. it is caused by local tracks hiring local people to work the corners rather than having either regulars who travel with the series or volunteers who have been in the racing scene/business for years.

amatuer track workers are as dangerous as amatuer racers.
