Default new to bikes

hey, i was looking for something new to work on. the car is starting to get filled up. i'm thinking maybe a bike so i got a few questions maybe you guys can answer.

1) what would be a good starter bike. i dont want anything ridiculously fast. just something i could learn on thats full size?

2) would finding one of the aformentioned bikes that would run for another 2 or 3 years (with like 500 miles a year) for like 5 or 6 hundred be completly unreasonalbe?

3) anybody know of a place where i could find a really really big helmet? i've got a massive head.

thanks.

Yea go there ^. But trust me, if you really get a bike you will put MUCH more than 500miles on it per year. Theres been days where I've put close to that. And I would aim for a little more than 6 to 7hundred bucks. I would give myself a budget of atleast 1,500 , although 2,500 would be ideal to pick up something like an f2 or fzr.

Start by taking the MSF course before anything at all, you might find bike riding is not your cup-0-tea
