Beautiful. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

If I ever decide to stray away from the sport end of motorcycles Im definately getting the 07 red white and blue color scheme VFR.

Get that thing fitted with an exhaust so you can hear that v4 howl.

Pauldo 04-16-2008 12:43 PM

I love the newer gen viffers, but the long history of electrical grimlins scared me away - that and the price the local dealer was asking for them https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif Instead, I picked up a brand new FJR for the price they were asking for a year old VFR.

I gutted the pipes...this thing is LOUD! Sounds like a mini V8...sounds beautiful.

Freddy Spencer actually rides the VFR800 for track days now https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif Very well balanced bikes that can be tracked or taken on long distances https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

they put out a service bulletin for that electrical problem finally- after what, 5 years!!! I bought an extended warranty also just to be safe https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif...I'm still good for another couple years- has always stayed rubber side down too!

Awesome, got any clips/vids? I absolutely love the sound.

Freddie could ride a moped around the track and make it look like a 600. http://is.rely.net/1-92-30009-l-tEzP...BTGi0jOCgA.gif

bad-monkey 04-16-2008 12:58 PM

I'll record a clip tonight to hear the rumble... lol

nobody makes a rearset for this bike yet...kinda gay. The riding position is pretty similar to my buddies 01 F4i- but I wish the clip ons were a little lower. Superhawk clip ons fit, and are like 20mm lower, but I think they MIGHT hit the fairing at full lock http://is.rely.net/1-92-83128-l-OQ7p...WduI005zmA.gif

marmaladedad 04-16-2008 01:35 PM

Funny you mention the Superhawk clip-ons. A lot of SH owners put on VFR bars for more comfort...and end up hitting the top half of the upper fairing. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif

Looks good! https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

lol...I know. I need to find a local guy to swap straight across...nothing an air saw and cut off wheel can't fix, right http://is.rely.net/1-92-30009-l-tEzP...BTGi0jOCgA.gif

marmaladedad 04-16-2008 02:29 PM

And a sanding-attachment to make it cleaner. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

What does DGK stand for?

Re: (marmaladedad)

I used a die grinder with an abrasive attachment to clean the top of the screen..looks OE almost https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif

DGK= Dirty Ghetto Kids...Stevie William's company...he's a skateboarder from Philly who started out selling drugs as a teenager and is now a very respected pro skateboarder...it's the kid in me https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif

Ah, if only blades were that light. Then I'd have a set on my car for sure.

I  Viffers https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

Paint the wheels gold or bronze, paint the stock rearsets black and it would look awesome https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

I think a dark bronze would compliment the red quite nicely http://is.rely.net/1-92-29998-l-1gbM...AmVuBW3hGg.gif

Looks nice. Previous gen is still my favorite though.

Powdercoat or paint the wheels gold, bronze or even black.
Get some USD forks, or powder coat your current tubes black.
Powdercoat rearsets, exh heatshield and levers black.
Get some new cans, I know you said it's loud already, but the stock cans don't look very sporty.
Get rid of the center stand, unless you use it.

Your bike already looks pretty hot though. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

Yeah, I dunno how often they come in handy. Never had a bike with a center stand.

Amazing how shaving off a few inches has changed the entire bikes appearance https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

I wasn't literally asking how to make it look sportier...I know how to do that https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif

after market exhaust look funny without the heat shields on there- looks like the under tail was hacked off https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif

center stand is VERY useful! Especially in a crowded garage
