Damn, Now I remember why I wanted to get a 2002 RC51. They are badass.
**Mental note, the speedo is reading 176, but it is actually doing about 10% less mph. Unless they have a yellow box installed

Bingo, looks a lot like my bullet camera's perspective when mounted on the tank. This was prolly a screen shot from a video. I will be doing some helmet videos soon.

In 2001, Nicky Hayden won all of the last 4 AMA Superbike races on an RC51. But the championship went to Mat Mladin on a GSXR-750. The RC51s finished 3rd and 5th overall in the points standings.
The production version is a race replica bike. I am not sure what you mean by 'how accurate' but...its a badass bike.

we only get 2 a year and they are usually sold before they hit the floor. We also have a 50% crash rate on them. sold 4, 2 crashers for repairs.

What do you mean by what Honda rated the power at and it's real world power?
I know most manufacturers tend to embelish their rated wet/dry weights and their hp/tq outputs. I would take a look at dyno runs from magazine articles and such. I think motorcyclist has a list of all the bikes they have tested in the back of their mag, and it shows what they dyno'd the rear at. Then i would compare it to the specs on honda's website. If i had the mag with me at work, i would check it out.
