Re: Changing a clutch on GSXR (ZexyAccord)
Hell ******* no thats not a good deal.
80-100 for the clutch plates...
labor should be an hours worth...two at the max!
I can do it in 45 minutes.
EDIT: SO long as its just the friction plates, steel plates and springs...and not the basket as well...
If your having to get the basket case changed too...then ya i can see it costing that much...however...
Unless your **** is severely fucked...you should only need the new clutchplate kit....which as i said...a Barnett Racing aftermarket clutch plate kti for our bike goes for 145 bucks and thats with springs.
So stock clutch kit is significantly less.

Doesnt matter - customer gets charged the book rate no matter how long the job takes... flat rate labor.

Re: Changing a clutch on GSXR (ZexyAccord)
Step 1, take off the body panel
Step 2, take off the clutch cover
Step 3, take off the pressure plate cover
Step 4, take out the clutch plates and steel discs and replace with new ones.
Step 5, reverse steps 3-1.
It wouldn't take me more than 30 min.

Wrong.
Crap and **** shops and stealerships go by the book rate no matter what.
Good shops that care about your business do not.
