Bare minimum wiring for a CRF motor?
 

First, I have to say I hang out over in the 5th generation Civic area, I don't exactly do anything with bikes, so I need a little help.

I'm wanting to build a motorized bike and CRF50 motors look like a good deal.

What's the very bare minimum I need for wiring to make the motor run? I don't care about lights or electric start, it just needs ignition. Would I just need like a CDI box or what?

Bump, someone's gotta know. I found a simple diagram that just included a CDI box, kill and ignition switch. Isn't there usually a battery?

I can't answer your question definitively, but there is very little wiring on the 50 and definitely no battery. Check out servicehonda.com and look up oem parts for the CRF50 and look at the wiring harness.

I'm trying to just get this 50cc honda cfr running for grandkids....can I use the cheap China wiring and stator kick start? I can get the wiring coil plug stator..says everything needed to start cfr pit bikes...just wanna know if this will work?
